Order for 2023 Nuc

Our nucs are $190 this year and we only sell deeps.  They include 5 frames; one laying queen, three frames of brood, one frame of honey and one frame built out for the queen to lay in.

To purchase one of our nucs, you'll need to complete the form to the right.  If you wish more than one, put the number in the additional request field.  You will receive a confirmation email within a few days.  If you do not receive a confirmation email, your order is not placed.

Our nucs are released in the order they are purchased.  We'll contact you when they are close to being ready for pickup.

Our nucs are usually ready mid-May to early June depending on the weather.  There is no guarantee they'll be ready by a certain time.

More Information

Here is what you will need to bring.
  1. You'll need to bring the hive equipment that you'll be keeping your bees in.  i.e. bottom board, inner cover, top cover, and the additional frames to fill out your hive body.  If you have an 8 frame, you'll need to bring 3 additional frames.  If you have a 10 frame, you'll need to bring 5 additional frames.
  2. You'll need protective gear.  Bring whatever you wear when you work with your bees.  i.e. hat, veil and gloves or a full suit or a jacket suit.  We go through the nuc with you showing you the queen, her laying pattern and the number of bees as we transfer them to your equipment.  So the best time to pick up your bees is the evening between 6:30 - 7:30 pm.
  3. You'll need to bring a ratchet strap or something that will keep your hive together.  We transfer the frames to your hive and then we'll let the bees settle down before we close them up.  We will provide a screen to close the front entrance.
